Biz Op Scams In The Vending Business

A bulk or full line vending business is simple to persue and for that reason, it is said to have a low barrier to entry. This translates into the fact that anyone can start a vending business. If you have a hundred dollars, you can start a vending business. With a low barrier to entry, there are smaller profits and a smaller market share available. You can still make a go of it in vending, even with so many other competitors, but you'll need to be better, faster, and more driven than the next guy.

Do not touch a bulk vending biz op. Energy business opportunities seem to be everywhere lately, but candy vending still has it's own share of other scams. For the large price of 15 thousand, these business opportunity hucksters promise to help you with all aspects of your new vending business. All of these biz ops have one thing in common, they mislead you on how much money you will make. The vending business is all about small profits. A large number of machines are needed to make any money at all because each head only produces a small amount. After losing lots of money to a biz op scam, some become disillusioned and quit the business. Tons of unused machines are sold by these frustrated people.

If you have been duped by a biz op, your options are few, you can complain through the Justice Dept., the BBB, or get an attorney. I'm sorry to say that it is unlikely you will ever get one cent of this money back. Research is a big part of any successful business venture. If you're being told about business profits that seem too high or unbelievable then trust your instincts, they are most likely false.

Before you quit your regular employment, make sure you have realistic goals about vending. It is not my intention to deter you from the vending biz, but instead, I am hoping to give you infomation that will help you on your business path. Most single heads make seven bucks on average. With this average, lots of people make more money and lots of people make less. Not everyone makes $7. My per head average now stands at five bucks. At $14 per machine, you can do the math and see that quite a few machines are needed until you can make a decent profit.

Please be alert to the possibility of locator problems. A locating service helps you by calling businesses to see if they want a vending machine on their property. This can also be done by someone in person, but phone locating is much more common unless you are doing it yourself. A phone locator charges about fifty dollars per machine. Using a locator allows you to free up your time and expand more quickly. Some locators will give you a guarantee, some won't. Excellent locating people are difficult to get but if you do your research they can be found. A locator with a proven reputation is the best way to go, but even with that, I would go slow. Get them to place a couple machines and see how well they do.

The vending machine business is not a get rich quick plan. The vending business is a real business, not an unobtainable goal. But the path to success is difficult and long. Most people that start out in vending will quit, this does not mean that it is not a viable business plan. Too many people are really not up to the challenge of managing their own business. Most people starting out in vending don't have an endless source of funding, plus there is the investment in time as well as money. So the most practical way to proceed is to purchase a machine or two and just see what happens. No need to over think it. Vending gives you the ability to proceed at your own pace while keeping your current employer to minimize your risk.
